Voices of Our People. Strength for Our Children
This evening, Kanawemahwasowin Kamik gathered ECN elders, youth, parents, and knowledge keepers. They shared their concerns, wisdom, and lived experiences as we work toward creating a Child in Care Law rooted in our values, traditions, and sovereignty.
Our Elders are guiding us with teachings of love, responsibility, and kinship. Our families are speaking from the heart about what our children truly need to feel safe, supported, and connected to who they are.
This is more than policy.
This is about reclaiming our responsibility to care for our children in a way that reflects who we are as Nehiyaw people.
Every voice matters. Every story carries medicine.
Together, we are building a law that protects our children, strengthens our families, and honors our Nation’s inherent rights and traditions.
🧡When we listen to one another, we build something powerful. When we stand together, our children stand stronger.
KKI has more engagements scheduled in April. We warmly invite you to join the discussion and be part of the positive change.
