Youth Employment Program:
This program is for Ermineskin Youth who just graduated, or are in college/university. The INAC Youth Employment Program's goal is to support activities and training that will assist students in acquiring the essential skills that will help them gain employment, function well in the workplace and learn about job/career options.
Objectives of the Youth Employment Program:
To gain valuable skills and work experience over 5 months. To gain a sense of community involvement, as well as to develop future goals and planning.
Program Overview:
The course of 5 months, over the Fall/Winter season. The purpose of this program is to offer a variety of employment options related to career goals to gain valuable skills and experience. Youth (ages 15-30) will work a 63-hour work week (Monday to Friday, every pay week has an off Friday). Youth will be placed within the Ermineskin Departments by the Youth Employment Coordinator.
If you are planning to apply for the Youth Employment Program you must submit a completed application by the posted deadline. Late submissions will be screened out. You must ensure that you meet the requirements:
- Registered Ermineskin Band Member
- Full-time Student
- Must Provide Valid SIN #
- Updated Criminal Record Check
- Must have reliable transportation
Summer Work Experience Program SWEP:
This program is for Ermineskin Students who are in school just graduated, or are in college/university. The INAC Summer Work Experience Program's goal is to support activities and training that will assist students in acquiring the essential skills that will help them gain employment, function well in the workplace and learn about job/career options.
Program Overview:
The course of 3 months, over the Summer Season (start dates vary). The purpose of this program is to provide on-the-job training through job shadowing and offer a variety of employment options related to career goals to gain valuable skills and experience. Youth (ages 15-30) with a 63-hour work week (Monday to Friday, every pay week has an off Friday). Youth will be placed within the Ermineskin Departments by the Youth Employment Coordinator.
