Today, we take a moment to recognize and reflect on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
This day honors the children who never returned home, the Survivors of residential schools, and their families and communities.
We encourage all of our community members to take the time to listen and learn from Indigenous voices today. If possible, attend a local gathering or event happening across the country.
Today is also Orange Shirt Day. The orange shirt symbolizes the loss of culture, freedom, and self-esteem endured by Indigenous children over generations.
Please consider wearing orange today to honor the thousands of residential school Survivors.
