The Grade 9 students recently had the opportunity to tour a fabrication shop in Ponoka, where Scovan provided a comprehensive introduction to the skilled trades. The visit began with a safety orientation, followed by a guided tour through the yard and shop. Students explored a variety of trades in action, including welding, pipefitting, insulation, assembly, electrical work, and parts technician roles. The experience highlighted the wide range of opportunities available within the trades, showing students that there are many pathways to explore and that the possibilities are endless.
