Spring Reminder: Dog Safety 🐾
As we head into spring, we want to remind families about staying safe around dogs. During this time of year, some dogs may show increased aggression due to breeding and protective behaviours.
Please take a moment to review these safety tips with your child:
🐕 Do not approach unfamiliar dogs, even if they seem friendly.
🐕 Always ask the owner before petting a dog.
🐕 Avoid running past dogs, as this may trigger a chase response.
🐕 Do not disturb dogs that are eating, sleeping, or caring for puppies.
🐕 Stay calm and still if approached by an unfamiliar or aggressive dog.
🐕 Report any stray or aggressive dogs to a trusted adult immediately.
Please remind your child to to avoid any dogs around their school.
