On March 19, 2026, Elements Firetack Inc. received notice that the company was successful in the competitive contract bid for two Firetack Base Crews in Fort McMurray. This contract will create 16 additional seasonal employment opportunities for wildland firefighters.
Elements Firetack Inc. now holds five base crews. Two in Rocky Mountain House, one in Edson, and two in Fort McMurray, continuing our commitment to building professional wildfire crews across Alberta.
We are proud to introduce the inaugural team members for our Fort McMurray crews.
MFB01 is led by Leon Whitebear (Faller, Strike Team Leader) and sub Dade Soosay (Bucker).
Supporting team members include Randolph Morin (Alternate Leader, Faller), Ryan Whitebear (Faller), Morris Omeasoo (Faller), Preston Whitebear (Bucker), Sean Lee (Bucker), and Brian Worm.
MFB02 is led by Antoine Saddleback (Faller) and sub Greg Large (Faller).
Supporting team members include Alphie Deschamps (Alternate Leader, Faller), Tase Whitebear (Alternate Leader, Faller), Irvin Brown (Faller), Travis Greene (Faller), Kestyn Minde, and Joseph Whitebear.
