Lot of info this week! Just wanted to say something about medical marijuana.
I do prescribe it. While it is certainly not a cure-all I have had tons of success helping my patients to manage their problems while cutting back significantly on much more dangerous and addictive drugs like klonopin or painkillers.
I had stopped doing new prescriptions given the heavy regulatory stuff that goes on with it behind the scenes after it became legalized. However 2 issues have come up that are clearly impacting my patients- first, there are major supply shortfalls at all dispensaries which are projected to continue for a long time and second that there are more beneficial cost programs if it is prescribed medically. So i’ve decided to restart prescribing.
It’s very complex and requires clinical evaluations and an ongoing relationship but if you are a woman over the age of 26 who suffers from a condition that you experience benefit from self medicating with marijuana or wonders if you may experience benefit please feel free to stop in for an evaluation.
