Last night, the Red Deer Minor Hockey Commission hosted a celebration and ceremony of the Red Deer Northstar Chiefs new logo, which has been redone. Chief Wilton Littlechild and the Chief’s from the Maskwacîs 4
Nations; Ermineskin Cree Nation, Samson Cree Nation, Montana First Nation and Louis Bull were invited to represent their nations during the ceremony.We are extremely honored that neighboring communities like The City of Red Deer are recognizing and inviting our nations to their celebrations, and we hope to continue this new relationship.
Elder Rick spoke very proudly of the logo and how this is a step closer to reconciliation within our communities.
