Historic new water systems for First Nations.
Today Minister Feehan announced the Alberta’s First Nations Regional Drinking Water Tie-In Project, a collaboration between First Nations, the Alberta government, municipalities and the federal government.
The funding helps to deliver clean drinking water to First Nations, to ensure access to clean and safe drinking water.
“We’re very pleased to have concluded an agreement with Alberta which both respects and protects our Treaty rights and self-government and at the same time is a key part of securing an abundant, safe and reliable water supply for decades to come ” Chief Craig Mackinaw.
