Grade 3 students had a wonderful time learning about nehiyaw culture at Camp Maskepetoon. Even the rain didn’t deter our enthusiasm! Awasak participated in storytelling, traditional crafts, snaring demonstrations, chokecherry crushing, and cooking moose meat. They also enjoyed mint tea while learning about the importance of these cultural practices and traditions. It was a memorable day filled with hands-on learning, connection, and appreciation for our Cree culture!
