🖍✂️📕 Donated School Supplies: Last week we had the honor of students from the Students for Equitable Education foundation come to our annual Back to School BBQ and Celebration and distribute school supplies to the students who attended the event. There were some leftover school supplies from the drive that can be picked up on a first come first serve basis at MESC’s Main Administration Office located at the NEA Building beside the Maskwacis RCMP Detachment from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm.
Students for Equitable Education is a foundation led by students, created to contribute towards a more equitable, inclusive education for all. They specifically support students who have experienced systemic inequalities.
“We were so excited to attend MESC’s back to school BBQ. We really enjoyed meeting everyone who stopped by our booth where we distributed school supplies gathered from this year’s drive run in Paul Kane High School, Old Scona Academic, and Ross Sheppard. S4EE would like to thank all of our donors and wish all students a wonderful school year! If you wish to follow our journey or donate to our future drives, please follow @students4equitableeducation or visit our website linked in our bio.” – Dani Goertzen, Student
