An extended period of frigid Arctic air will soon spill over the Prairies, bringing significant snow to some and widespread wind chills in the -30s this week.
Significant snowfall lasting into Tuesday will make travel nearly impossible across parts of the province. Some areas have the potential to see 30-40 cm of snow, Calgary areas up to 50 cm.
