Hamper Guidelines:
EMERGENCY COVID HAMPER PROGRAM
Due to the increasing number of requests for emergency COVID hampers, the following is a clarification of the intent of the program:
Household’s informed that they must quarantine or isolate may be provided with an emergency hamper pending the homeowner or head of household personally calls the COVID emergency line and makes a request. You must provide information on when you were informed, your dates of quarantine/isolation and ALL the occupants isolating with you.
Quarantine/Isolation means a total restriction on the movement of people which is intended to stop the transmission of COVID 19. When in quarantine/isolation you must not visit or have visitors, drive around or come into contact with anyone in any way. You must STAY HOME.
As we cannot provide full support for every household throughout their entire isolation period, this assistance is provided to offer you temporary support until you can make arrangements with friends and family to further and assist you in acquiring and delivering any future needs.
Multiple hampers to one household will only be considered in extreme circumstances such as overcrowding, and will be limited to a maximum of 2 per household, and only after a 3 week period of the first delivery.
It is the occupant’s responsibility to prepare for such emergencies so we urge you to preplan your support network should you have to quarantine again.
Requests for COVID hampers will be denied if:
Any residents of your household are observed to be away from home and not following quarantine protocol after being informed of the need to quarantine or isolate
You are within 2 days of the end of the isolation period
Visitors are observed to be entering or leaving your household
You are no longer required to quarantine or isolate
False information is given in regards to occupancy
Please consider the safety of our Nation. Let’s help each other in our time of need. Stay safe and STAY HOME.
