“The team at Kanawemahwasowin Kamik (KKI) want to express gratitude and appreciation to all that made today’s Easter event enjoyable and successful for our member children, youth and families.
The intent of today’s celebration was to have our children and youth that are IN CARE to have an opportunity to ‘come home’ and celebrate with us all. Through our work and within the program, we will continue to create every opportunity to ‘bring our children home’ by attending various events.
Today was about sharing smiles, Easter candies and good cheer with our children and families within our community.
We take the health of ALL Nation members seriously and remained diligent to ensure folks stayed within their vehicles where we adhered to all COVID safety measures. It was not intentional as we ushered folks to move along the line accordingly. We were looking out for everyone’s safety and will continue to do so. Thank you all for understanding the need to follow all safety measures, great job!
Special thank you to the following:
