Today, our communities came together to reflect and pay tribute during this year’s Remembrance Day Ceremony, proudly hosted by Montana First Nation. It was a heartfelt day filled with remembrance and gratitude, dedicated to all Veterans especially our Indigenous Warriors from Maskwacis whose courage and sacrifice continue to inspire and guide us.
From the historic battlefields to today’s peacekeeping missions, Indigenous Veterans have always stood strong for our lands, freedoms, and way of life. Their resilience and spirit live on within our Nations.
We sincerely thank the RCMP for joining us, as well as the Chiefs of the Four Nations Ermineskin, Samson, Montana, and Louis Bull for their leadership and wise words.
A special shout-out to the Drum Group for sharing their powerful songs, including the Honour Song, which touched our hearts and reminded us of the resilience of our people.
We also appreciate our MC, organizers, and everyone who came out to support—your presence truly made the day more meaningful.
The laying of the wreaths was a touching act of respect and gratitude for all who served.
Thanks to Hawk Radio for their continued support within our community.
As we remember, let’s keep passing down the importance of honouring those who served especially our Indigenous Veterans and those who continue to stand for our ways of life.
Lest We Forget. ❤️🕊️
