Day Two- United in Treaty Conference
The speakers were amazing—Elder Larry Beardy from Tateskweyak Cree Nation shared impactful insights in his talk “Stolen Lands; Strong Hearts,” while Dr. Leroy Little Bear from Blood Tribe and Minor Chief Regena Crowchild from Tsuut’ina Nation delivered moving keynote addresses. Their discussions on treaty relationships and Indigenous sovereignty opened my eyes to important aspects of reconciliation and the work still needed.
