A message from Environment Canada
May 2 & 3 the Alberta region is expecting a below threshold heat event that begins tomorrow and lasts through Saturday for central and Southern Alberta.
Daytime high temperatures will reach 27-29 degrees with overnight lows in the single digits. Please dress appropriately for the weather.
Heat warnings are not likely to be issued as overnight low temperatures will still be in the single digits, leading to reprieve from hot daytime temperatures.
Saturday night through Sunday, a cold front will move through the province with rain showers, winds and will drop the temperatures for Sunday into the teens. Another below threshold heat event is forecast mid-week next week. This is an early season notice that we can start to expect heat to return in the coming weeks.
