🟥 May 5th, 2026 – MMIW Walk
Maskwacis Cree High School students and staff came together for a Red Dress Day walk in honour of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit, Transgender and Gender-Diverse Peoples (MMIWG2S+).
Each step taken is a reminder that they are not forgotten. We walk to honour their lives, to support their families, and to stand together in awareness and remembrance.
As they walked, an eagle kihîw ᑭᐦᐄᐤ soared above in the sky — you might be able to spot him in the photos if you look close enough. 🦅
