Important Message for Onîkihkomâwak (Parents & Guardians): Tansi, Maskwacîsak. We want to share an update about an incident that happened on one of our school buses earlier today. A student discharged bear spray while on the bus. Emergency Services responded quickly, and one student received immediate care. Thanks to the quick action of the bus driver and the use of bus security cameras, the student responsible was identified and apprehended.
The situation was contained quickly, and there is no ongoing risk. Parents/Guardians of the students directly impacted have already been contacted. To protect the privacy of all students, we will not be sharing any further details.
Please know that student safety is always our highest priority. If your child expresses worry or has questions, our school staff and counselors are available to provide support.
