Yesterday, I was honoured and delighted to attend the grand opening of the First Nations Bank of Canada (FNBC) at Maskwacis Mall with Ermineskin Cree Nation Chief Joel Mykat and his council, FNBC CEO Bill Lomax, Chairman of Neyaskweyahk Group of Companies Inc. (NGCI) Trent Blind, Board and Ermineskin Band Member Danika Littlechild, NGCI President and CEO Jimmy Johnson and so many other community elders, dignitaries, drummers, staff and band members.
There was much to celebrate! Ermineskin is a nation on the move and this bank is an investment for today and future generations. It’s providing employment and invaluable financial services to community members.
