**Work crews will be inspecting water service valves and emergency shut off valves in the homes of the Ermineskin Residents on the Community Water Supply**
**It is the department’s hope that the home occupants will allow access to the valves within the yard and in the homes, as this will be crucial to the success of these inspections.**
Starting this week and into the month of June, a work crew will be visiting all of the homes connected to the community water line.
The intent is to locate and inspect the water service valves in the yard and the emergency shut off valve in the homes.
The intent for this work project is to verify that these valves are in good operating condition.
If either of the isolation valves are found to be inoperable, they will be replaced during a follow-up visit after all initial inspections are complete.
Temporary water interruption will be limited to the home where the inspection is occurring and not the whole community on the main water distribution line.
It is the department’s hope that the home occupants will allow access to the valves within the yard and in the homes, as this will be crucial to the success of these inspections.
The current valve inspection exercise is part of the overall community valve and hydrant restoration project as Ermineskin Technical Services department remains committed to providing dependable essential services for Ermineskin Cree Nation.
