“We here at Kanawemahwasowim Kamik (previously known as Children’s Services) want you to know that we take our Nation citizen’s health and wellbeing seriously during this time of the COVID-19 pandemic but we also know the importance of maintaining contact between our children and families while receiving intervention services for Alberta Children’s Services.
We have taken initiative here within our program to create opportunity to remove as many barriers as we can for our families to remain connected with their children/youth in care.
We will be offering a scheduled Face Time/SKYPE time for our families.
This means that you can contact Tennille Makinaw or Ruby Potts to start scheduling your online family connection.
Our office has sent out notice to ALL regional offices and caseworkers to have children/youth available to participate on Face Time/SKYPE from their locations to their families online in our office. We will coordinate the time, provide the IPAD device, space and access to internet.
