Today we wear orange shirts to remember, and promote awareness about residential schools in Canada. We honor all survivors, and those who were lost. We had an assembly in the morning in which our Cree
instructor Bill Lightning explained why we wear orange shirts and the history behind residential schools. Our awasisak read books and did class projects throughout the week to learn why orange shirt day is so important. A reminder there is no school on Friday, September 29 in honor of Truth and Reconciliation Day. We will see everyone back at school Monday.
