The Intro to Trades Program for Indigenous Women is a 13 week program that introduces 5 trades and the renewable energy sector.
Topics include are:
1. Intro to wood trades
2. Intro to Electrical trades
3. Intro to Plumbing trades
4. Intro to Pipe fitting trades
5. Intro to Welding trades
6. Introduction to Energy Efficient and low/zero Carbon buildings.
Students will learn science for trades and technicians
Math for Apprentices
Exam preparation for Apprentices
Safety and Industry certification.
Start dates will be determined and all those who apply will be academically tested two weeks before the program starts. Client must be classified as ETW-A and to have up to date contact information.
