December 8th, 2023 was the Official Grand Opening of the Theresa C. Wildcat Early Learning Centre! There were many items from her archives, going through her history and contributions to the community as well as education as a whole. Global News and CBC News were in attendance, getting interviews with Brian Wildcat. A beautiful opening ceremony filled with many speeches from M.E.S.C. Representatives, ECN Chief Joel Mykat and Councillor Trudy Whitebear, U of A Representative and Indigenous Service Canada as well, congratulating the work that was put into the facility and the investment the Nations of Maskwacîs is making in their youth for the future. 🙌🏽 #maskwacishappenings #maskwacisyouth
